drinkipa replied to your post: Alright so, there’s one thing I have to write about before I swear off beer for five days or so
so did you bring this to the attention of the producers of said calender? and… after reading this is sounds like you’d be the perfect person to write the beer descriptions for my new beer calender… if i were to actually make one.
Ha! Sadly I did not bring this to...

Alright so, there's one thing I have to write...
My lovely girlfriend got me a beer calender (among many other beer-related gifts. She knows the path to my heart) for Christmas. And it really, really is a lovely calendar, and I’m not just saying that because I’m moments away from criticizing an aspect of it. The photography is gorgeous. Waking up to such beautiful photos of beer each morning makes my get-the-hell-ready-for-work...
Some Notes:
I’m tired of beer. Don’t panic, this, of course, is temporary. I’m just generally tired of thinking about it, talking about it, and especially drinking it. I need a mini break. The wonderful thing, though, is that I’m so incredibly backlogged that I can still update the blog with regular content this week. I just won’t be drinking. Or thinking about it. Which really...

Sam Calagione (who I’m sure most of you are familiar with) made an appearance on The Martha Stewart Show. And for some dumb reason I can’t embed the video on Tumblr. It has a bizarre code, and whenever I preview the link, the video doesn’t pop up. SO:
I’LL JUST PUT THIS REALLY OBVIOUS LINK…
I was actually planning on making a post about that clip, so thanks for...

So, are you currently staying online and thinking too much about stuff that upsets you until you maybe start falling asleep? This is an instrumental song I wrote about that very thing.

Oh no, I hope this isn’t me!
I doubt it. To be honest with you, in my experience I’ve heard more people complaining about snobs as opposed to people actually being snobby. But that video is still hilarious.

It's a Damn Shame
That Edmund Fitzgerald, Eliot Ness, Dortmunder Gold and Burning River are not focal parts of my beery life, like they used to be. But I’m quite fine with occasionally being reminded of what life was like when I was quaffing bottles of Ness at 2:00 AM on a porch on Chittenden, and thanks to my friend Scotches (who made a trip out to Ohio last weekend and brought some Great Lakes brews home...

From an interview with the Yards guys on...
“It’s great that people can instantly share their thoughts and opinions on beers, but you can’t use that as the end-all, be-all on whether or not you want to try a new beer. Form your own opinion, that’s the whole point. Just because one guy in Ohio had a bottle of some brewery’s brown ale, and he didn’t like it because the brewery was from Denmark and he traded some other guy for the...
