The Big Deal Today.
The Saint Louis Brewery, Inc., which brews the Schlafly beer brands (and, by extension, my most favorite pumpkin ale ever) will transfer (most likely) 60% ownership of the company to an investment group led by Wes Jones and John Lemkemeir of St. Louis.
Stole this part from the press release, and I put my favorite part in bold:
Added Mr. Lemkemeier, “We look forward to Dan and Tom’s continued leadership of St. Louis’s largest locally-owned brewery. We also welcome the Schlafly employees’ having the opportunity to participate in the ownership of the business they have helped to build.””
Clearly a point of pride.
